Jensen nasce a Dallas, in Texas da Roger Alan, un attore, e Donna Joan Shaffer. Ackles ha un fratello maggiore, Joshua e una sorella minore, Mackenzie. Ha origini irlandesi, inglesi e scozzesi. I suoi genitori lo hanno chiamato Jensen poiché non è un nome comune. Ackles ha giocato a baseball e lacrosse alle scuole superiori. Voleva studiare medicina dello sport ed intraprendere la carriera di fisioterapista, prima di trasferirsi a Los Angeles e diventare un attore. -more- |
